National Seeds Corporation Limited (NSC) is a Schedule 'B' Miniratna Category-I Public Sector Enterprise, wholly owned by the Government of India under the Ministry of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare. Established in March 1963, NSC has been a pioneer in producing, processing, and distributing high-quality foundation and certified seeds to support India's agricultural growth and ensure food security.
With over six decades of excellence, NSC produces nearly 900 varieties of seeds across 80 crops, including cereals, pulses, oilseeds, vegetables, fodder, fiber crops, green manure, and hybrid varieties. Through its 5 modern farms, 14,800+ registered seed growers, 29 seed production centers, 107 marketing centers, and a vast network of 5,450 authorized dealers, NSC ensures the availability of premium-quality seeds across every region of India.
The corporation follows stringent quality assurance protocols supported by advanced seed testing laboratories, DNA fingerprinting technology, modern seed processing plants, and scientifically managed storage facilities.
