Ayakudi Guava and Fruits Producer Company Ltd (AGFPCL) is a farmer-led agri-business enterprise based in Ayakudi, a village in the Dindigul district of Tamil Nadu, known for its lush guava orchards. Established on 3rd January 2014, the company was formed to empower local fruit farmers through collective production, value addition, and direct market access. Ayakudi is renowned for its high-quality pink and white guavas, cultivated across generations. Recognizing the need to improve profitability and eliminate middlemen, a group of 25 local guava farmers, with support from agricultural extension programs (like ICAR-NAIP), came together to form a Producer Company. Their goal: to apply scientific farming techniques, improve post-harvest practices, and ensure fair pricing through organized marketing.
